mfg Posted March 18, 2017 Report Posted March 18, 2017 Although Studebaker changed the style of the cowl vent control knobs during the Avantis production run, the rest of the cowl vent control system remained unchanged......True?
64studeavanti Posted March 18, 2017 Report Posted March 18, 2017 I know they added another vent just below the windshield They also added cooling for the auto trans. Finally, whereas one of the slots in the console was split, with 2 controls and each of the half controls being half size. The round knobs only control one function

64studeavanti Posted March 19, 2017 Report Posted March 19, 2017 Are you thinking about the change that adds the plastic vent cover instead of just the screen?

Good thought but no, that's more or less 'cosmetic'....I'm thinking more of the 'working parts' or 'mechanics' of the vents
lschuc Posted March 20, 2017 Report Posted March 20, 2017 The actual flap door on later Avantis was larger than on the earlier '63 models
