Anyone out there in Avantiland venture to guess how many die cast (pot metal) chrome items can be found on the exterior of an original 1964 'square light' R2 Studebaker Avanti?

Are there.....17.....18......19......23......24......27....or....28 items..?

Don't figure in accessory (Acc) items!

Slow night so:

2 -front turn

2-headlight trim ring

2-headlight filler

2-Avanti script f/r

2-supercharged emblems

1-hood emblem

4-door handle pieces 2x per door

2-wiper trim

2-sail panel emblems

2-backup light trim

2-tail light housings

2-under bumper verticle trim

2-mirror bases

27 unless the radio antenna base has a diecast washer then 28.

Best I can do!

I think you did great!....27 it is!... And you did it leaving NINE legitimate pieces out!!!.....(I considered the exterior door handles as 2 'assemblies'...but indeed you're correct in saying "4 pieces"...also, the mirror bases should not be counted, as the outside mirrors are accessory items.... also, there is of course only 1 Avanti nameplate......and also, the rear bumper verticals are made of chrome plated steel on original Studebaker Avantis. (many later Avanti ll's used diecast verticals....and rubber ones too!)

Still, 27 is indeed the total, you just got there a bit differently!
