r1lark Posted October 29, 2015 Report Share Posted October 29, 2015 The '63 Lark had a 'modern' recirculating ball Saginaw steering box. The '63 Avanti and '63 Hawk had a somewhat antiquated Ross cam lever steering box. The Avanti did have a rag joint installed in the shaft between the box and the steering wheel, but really don't see this as a 'standout' mechanical difference.
