Avanti R3 Engine!

Supposedly, Avanti R3 engines, which were built at Paxton Products in California, were subject to a series of tests lasting …..?….. hour(s) before being shipped to South Bend.

There was no warranty given with the R3. Allegedly, Andy wouldn't let one leave unless it produced 400 hp so that would take some tinkering to dial it in.  I'm thinking 3 hours?
