I would say true. When they completed the coast-to-coast run they took the car for a little jaunt across the salt flats. I doubt if that would have been done with any damage.

If you really mean affected, I would say that the Avanti was not in an accident, but may have been delayed by someone else's accident.

Answer....The driver of the Studebaker Lark Wagonaire used as a 'chase car' was injured when his car was involved a highway wreck in New Mexico!

PS....Answer.....FALSE!
