The Transistorized Ignition (Transigniter) was a factory installed option on all 1964 R1 and R2 Studebaker models.

For the Avanti it was item 196 and the suggested retail price was $74.00.  $57.50 Dealer cost.

3 R1s and 6 R2s were factory equipped.

The Transistorized Ignition was not a factory installed option on the Skybolt Six or regular V8s.
