SDC Forum down again, Dec. 31 2025

It appears the SDC Forum is offline again.

Just curious, what time was the outage? I was able to access several times on the 31st.

It may seem to some that I’m being unfair to the Stude Forum Administrator.. however, problems such as this have sadly become fairly common on that forum.

The sloppy handling of his administrative responsibilities is indicative of a person who has held onto that position for way too long… Time for ‘new blood’ for Studebaker forum administration…. A ‘healthy’ move for a  currently stagnant venue!

Maybe I should try from a PC. I've been attempting to access from my cell phone. I cleared the cookies and history, but I still can't access it.

I used the SDC forums contact page and sent email to webmaster. 

I don't understand why it is working for me and not others. 

I did notice that other than my 2 test posts, there is no activity since sometime around 6:00 p.m. EST yesterday.

Tried wife's iPhone 16. Can't get to forums. Main SDC page has forum unavailable message. Don't know if the message is new or left over from previous outage.

 

Tried again from my S25,  and it is still working!

Still down…. Sadly, this type of thing was inevitable on that forum.

Just to remind everyone, the AOAI forum has had issues as well. One I experienced just last October. seems to be the nature of the beast.

I am not disparaging either of the forum admins. I appreciate all the hard work they do to keep the sites running. Just pointing out that most, if not all, forums have issues from time to time.

Ed, you seem to have a serious issue with Clark @ the SDC forum. Perhaps instead of attacking, you could volunteer to help.

I am still confused on why the SDC forum continues to work for me and, apparently, no one else. Perhaps it is because I never log out?

I’ve clearly expressed how I feel about the poor job the current SDC forum administrator has done over the years.. and I question his “hard” work….I sure have never seen it on the SDC forum!

A few years ago, when the current SDC forum administrator was reluctant to reveal his SDC forum annual salary, I volunteered to take over SDC forum administrative duties AT NO COST TO THE CLUB. I was hoping that perhaps a second person, more computer savvy than myself, could help me with that…. I never heard anything back from SDC.

I had a heck of a time joining this forum. The Fort Knox security question kept showing “unsuccessful” despite providing the correct answer. Somehow, I managed to get an email address for Lewis Schucart, contacted him directly, and he was able to create a profile for me.
