No, I’ve never tried that…. but I have used aircraft wing tank ‘sloshing compound’ …which did an effective job encapsulating the rust in an Avanti’s I once owned fuel tank.

Stacey Posted Monday at 10:19 PM Report Posted Monday at 10:19 PM When I had the blasting company we would get in various impossible to find gas tanks that had been cut in half so we could gently blast the inside of the rusty crud. They then rewelded and used a sealer to seal the blasted inside. A lot cheaper than trying to buy or build a new tank in those cases.
