mfg
How many 'main' parts make up a Paxton supercharger drive element set?.......1) two.....2) six......3) eight......or........4) nine
brad
Well, let's count......one aluminum ball driver, 5 balls,2 outer races, and one center output shaft . I'd say 9.
mfg
Sorry brad, but that's wrong...Why?....because the ball driver was never included as part of a factory drive element set! (At least not by SASCO) Answer...3) eight!
lschuc
Well, Brad is technically correct, since all those parts make up a complete Paxton supercharger. But the parts kit left out the ball driver... but probably should have included it.
mfg
Yes, it would certainly be good practice to install a new ball driver while replacing the drive element set, but for some reason the two were always packaged and sold separately.
