They appear to be, although after all these years who knows what some precious owner did to them. Actually, I have two '64 Avantis and one loose antenna. The two Avantis' antennas are 42" and 48". The loose antenna is 52" long. --Dwight

The info I posted on Stude Avanti extended antenna length came from an article by Dan Booth at Nostalgic Avanti….. I do not have an original antenna on my own ‘63, so I can’t take an accurate measurement….. According to Dan’s article, answer # 3 would be the correct answer.

From the article Dan Booth states, "the antenna measures 16.5 inches above the rear quarter panel." That is the retracted length and not the fully extended length in the question. I have a factory installed antenna and it is 16.5 inches retracted and total length of the mast fully extended is 50.5 inches. My original answer to the question remains the same, none of the above.

QUOTE…..The replacement manual antenna, AC3330R, $25, sticks up about 2” above the top of the quarter panel and can be extended out to 16 1/2” length like the original AC3330….. This quote is from Dan Booth’s recent antenna article in Avanti Magazine # 207. regnalbob…. As you seem to enjoy correcting people, perhaps you should take up this question with Mr. Booth?
mfg Posted August 29 Author Report Posted August 29 And regnalbob…. When you quote someone at least try to get the quote right… OK?

mfg Posted August 30 Author Report Posted August 30 Best not answer any more of my trivia questions Bob…. Perhaps you could take up knitting?
