This Avanti has brake issues from sitting so long. 1) anyone used this kit? Seems pretty complete. Quality good? 2) After using this complete kit, has anyone switched to DOT 5? 3) Is there a calliper shim kit included in the kit? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As long as your steel hydraulic brake lines are in good shape, you would be ending up with a brand new brake system. Drum brake parts I’ve ordered in the past from SI have always been satisfactory and good quality. I don’t believe this kit would come with the caliper adjusting shims, but SI probably carries them. BUT I CANT REMEMBER WHY ....INVESTIGATE DOT4 I UNDERSTAND IT IS A LESS CAUSTIC VERSION OF DOT3..... BEEN IN 3263 FOR EVER.... WORKS FOR ME .....
