You got it!...this might be a rarity, however I've seen this twice....The lower 'ear' or 'leg' of the L or R engine mount bracket (bolted to engine block) can fatigue and break off..... When this happens, although the bracket is still bolted to engine by the two top bolts, it will twist allowing engine to drop around 1" on the broken side....This situation can also tear rubber motor mount apart.
