LEGROS
Good morning all, who could give me the method to disassemble a 1963 avanti R1 dashboard. I need to change my car radio. the shop manual does not seem clear enough to me. Thanks in advance for your answers and Merry Christmas from France Jean-Claude

LEGROS
Bonjour Bob, Thank you for your answer. Dismantling the dashboard seems mandatory to get out and repair the car radio!! Jean-Claude
Nelson
I seem to remember replacing the radio being a simple task with no air conditioning but way more difficult if your car has the AC. No ac just remove the vertical panel in front of the control levers and work through there. Probably not much help. I’ve done a radio change in both ac and non ac cars but it was a long time ago. mfg
The removable sun glasses holder, (as opposed to fixed radio speaker), which is found in later Avanti ll's sure helps with accessing underdash items!
