Has anyone found a suitable replacement heater fan motor for early Avantis?

SI's catalog lists one.  I would first try to fix what you have.  Lubricate the bearing/bushing.  This will require drilling a small hole.

Agree with Gary...freeing up the armature usually shows good results!
