I would say false...a true, complete R3 engine would have the dual valve springs, but some of the last R3 engines Paxton assembled and sold had standard R2 heads on them. Unless Paxton assembled them with the dual springs, they would be no different than any other R2 heads.

Actually the standard R3s had single springs. The dual springs were usually with the optional two eighty-eight degree camshaft. But they were optional on the stock two seventy three cam

I'd have to give this to brad....Dual springs were STANDARD only with the bigger cam. Answer....FALSE!
