mfg Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 The Paxton Supercharger used by Studebaker on the Avanti is model SN-60....This stands for 'Studebaker-'N' model #60....True?
brad Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 SN= short nose, or snub nose. As compared to the McCulloch which it was based uopn
mfg Posted February 3, 2015 Author Report Posted February 3, 2015 You're right about the 'SN'......How about the #60?
Gunslinger Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 Just a guess...the year the design was adopted? The VS-57 was on the '57 Golden Hawk...not sure if that's the same model on the '57 T-Bird. The SN-60 might have been designed and adopted in 1960.
