mfg Posted December 21, 2014 Author Report Share Posted December 21, 2014 False is correct Actually, the answer to this question is TRUE!....Although it was listed on the option sheet, orders for R3 type exhaust manifolds on R1 or R2 equipped '64 Larks and Hawks were CANCELLED. Why? ....R3 type manifolds with the necessary alternator mounting bracket were not available at the time. (Remember...an R3 engine ALWAYS came with a side mounted supercharger!)
