mfg Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 '63-'64 Avanti 'SUPERCHARGED' badges can easily be unbolted and removed from under the fender....True?
Gunslinger Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 There are two holes drilled in the fender as each emblem has two studs. To remove the emblems you have to remove the interior kick panel carpeting and some other pieces inside that to access the stamped nuts and remove them. Whether you consider that "easily unbolted and removed" is open to interpretation. What looks and sounds easy in the shop manual isn't always that way in the real world...especially after so many years.

That's all true!...What I was really asking was could they be removed from 'under the fender in the wheel well'...with no disassembly...but my initial question did not make that clear.
brad Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 No, they have to be removed from inside the car, after taking out the foot vent screens, and or deflectors!. 5/16 tinnerman nuts
Guest dapy Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 My Avanti had the "supersharged" emblems glued on. It was not supercharged. Wishful thinking...
