The 'Due Cento' Avanti utilized a stock Studebaker Avanti brake system....True?

False, I know of no stock automobile that relies on parachutes!

I'd like to entertain a few more responses to this question...'Due Cento' indeed had a parachute pack to assist in stopping...but I was referring to the vehicles on board brake system itself...Thanks!

I can't think of hearing or seeing it claimed in print that the Due carried anything but stock Avanti brakes. I'm not saying it didn't...just that I've seen no claims of it.

OK......Are there any other thoughts on this question?

What did it use for brakes, then? I doubt if they used the Fred Flintstone method.

The brakes (at each wheel) of 'Due Cento' were indeed stock Studebaker Avanti brakes....but the assist booster was far from what came with a stock Avanti....it was a 'Hydrovac type' similar, but larger, to the one used in a Studebaker GT Hawk with disc brakes. Study the engine compartment photo of the 'Due Cento' at Bonneville to verify this. This booster certainly changed the system from 'stock'....Making the answer to this question....FALSE!
