The second Studebaker Avanti to be exported from the U.S. was shipped to France....True?

Probably false... I am thinking that the first Avanti exported was sent to France, for Raymond Loewy. The second was probably the black '63 Avanti shipped to London for Ian Fleming.

Correct....answer FALSE!....The info I have indicates that the first Stude Avanti shipped overseas went to England (Fleming's)....The second one was shipped to Austrailia.

MFG,

Where did you get the info that second one went to Australia?

Any idea of the port it was sent to?

'Avanti Magazine' issue #84 indicates that 'what may' have been the second Studebaker Avanti shipped outside the U.S. was exported from New York and shipped to Sydney, where it was converted to RHD by Needham Motors. It was Avanti # 63RQ-1529.
