The second cowl grille, located in front of the driver, (a 1964 Studebaker Avanti update), serves no real function on non-A/C equipped Avanti models....True?

False...it directs cooling air to the automatic transmission if the car is equipped with one. No automatic...no function.

The left side grille directs more air to the drivers side fresh air vent. The console was cooled from the right side grille. A Console Cooling Kit was made available for earlier models.
