False...it's Ross manufacture.

Correct. Saginaw was a 'Lark' thing.

I did see a Saginaw box @ the South Bend Swap in May two years ago. It caught my eye as it had the "rag" joint coupling on the top. Owners wanted something like $650 and said it was a rare prototype Avanti box. So I would think a Saginaw box was ate least considered. It would have been a great improvement over the Ross as far as steering effort is concerned.
