I think that it is false. The Avanti chassis was an existing and tested one. They were more concerned with having models to show at public events/car shows and to picture in promotions. mfg Posted November 14, 2020 Author Report Share Posted November 14, 2020 FOLLOW UP......The actual reason for this trivia question being FALSE is that the 800+ acre location mentioned was officially called the 'STUDEBAKER PROVING GROUND' not the 'STUDEBAKER PROVING GROUNDS'!!!
