adamderosa Posted May 17, 2013 Report Share Posted May 17, 2013 I've been thinking about getting a set of 17" wheels for my Avanti. I just like the look of more wheel and less tire. For those of you who have gone this route, can you provide any details regarding what fit, what didn't, what tire sizes you used and also any negative observations such as harsh ride, abnormal tire wear, hard steering , etc. Thanks, AD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Avanti83 Posted May 18, 2013 Report Share Posted May 18, 2013 It continues to boil down to rim width and back spacing, Tom, SBCA96, put 17" Mustang wheels on his Avanti and I have a set of pre-2005 17" Bullit Mustang wheels set to go on my 74. However, I found this site http://www.tacomawor...r15-235-70r15 which is a great calculator for physical sizing. Good luck, I am sure there are some very attractive larger wheel/tire combos.
