mfg
'63-'64 Studebaker Avanti ignition shielding wasn't used on 'Lark Type' R3-R4 factory engine installs because of larger diameter spark plug wire used on those models........True? r1lark
False. It was because the Lark had a metal body and did not need the shielding.
brad
Actually, they used partial shielding even in the Larks. Basically because they were built @ Paxton mainly for Avantis, and all were built to a standard. No R3 or R4 were built at the Studebaker factory.
