i have a 1963 R1 with air
New Battery,rebuilt carb, elctric fuel pump, good spark pluig wires, clean spark plugs.
I am noticing hard start when i leave the car for 2 weeks.
I am requiring a little nip of starter fluid. Then it fires right up and runs just fine.
Do consider pertronix or Dave Thiebault's system which is Mallory with his own distributor. I am still with points and standard distrib
Do I put a fuel pressure gauge on to monitor my pump pressure. What does everybody think? This is not a unique problem for old cars. My other vehicles with fuel pumps and electronic seem to light off right away>>> that is what I want
