i AM 1355 AND i KNOW 1458..THEY ARE BOTH 140
THESE ARE EARLY CARS AND I THINK THAT IS THE REASON
I HOPE WE CAN FIND SOME SERIAL #S WHERE WE SEE WHEN THEY SWITCHED
MY 57 GH HAS A 160 MPH SPEEDO AND IT WAS PRODUCED 6 YEARS PRIOR!

I am having a little trouble seeing which is the mike.. So Is this a separate unit or do you purchase from the vendor.
So when a call comes in and you have blue tooth paired, it automatically switches, correct?
There are several model names which did you use? Did your USB plug into the back of the unite with an AUX or USB cable?

WHY THE LOWER MPH ON THE EARLY CARS./. WAS GRANATELLI NOT YET A T BONNEVILLE
WOULD HAVE THOUGHT STUDE EXECS WOULD WANT HIGHER MPH TO ATTRACT RACER TYPES?

I went and drove the car in question without power steering. YOU ARE CORRECT.. IT WAS VERY NIMBLE
In fact, I did not realize it was without the power unit. Were I to acquire this car, I would not do anything to it!

Jeff thanks for the info and a great build. Having gone through all that stuff with my R1 power unit this could be heaven
I am going to look at an R2 to purchase without power and I have made inquires to get a steering column as I would not want to de-commission the car for 2 weeks

IF you follow the comments on the earlier thread to this discussion, I did not respond with what we did.
The torque converter had been rebuilt incorrectly so we discovered this when we took it apart and cut it open.
It was completely redone and reinstalled. We set the valves to .024 cold and used stiff springs under the metering rods
The car will chirp the tires in first gear and performs like a swiss watch. Thanks everyone for weighing in.
BTW the heads and cam were redone on this car. The block and crank are new. The heads are nmatched, ported and dpolished as is the
intake and exhaust manifold.

IS THE FACTORY SPEEDO 140 OR 160 MPH?
DID ANY EARLY R2 CARS COME WITH 140 MPH SPEEDOS AND THEN IN LATER PRODUCTION WERE THEY UPGRADED?

Assuming Bulbs ok and Glove Box/Trunk Lights work and wires are ok
whats best way to trouble shoot interior lights and uinder dash light?
Check Door Switch?
Ground?
