Want to buy a working Sparton High Tone ( Passenger Side) Horn for a '63 Avanti. I believe this horn was used on many Studebaker models and years.

Nothing now that I know they were all sold. I wanted to buy them as well. Ruth was not the best communicator.
Thanks for the reply

Has anyone that responded to this posting heard from Ruth? Are the parts available? Did she sell them? I'm still interested.

Ruth, I sent you another PM

Ruth, I'd like to get a list of the parts you have available, pictures would be nice as well. I'll send you a Private Message here on this Forum with my contact information

Determine where the Passenger side goes FIRST. Then you can match that location to the Driver's side. Doing it ,Driver's side first, you run the risk of the two mirrors being in different locations in order to make them functional

I sent you a P.M.
Thanks

This site apparently does not like IMGUR photos. If you would like to see the photos go to the SDC web site and the same ad is posted there under Cars and Parts For Sale and the photos are posted.
Thanks

This heater control valve is brand new, never used ,never installed. This version was made for and used by Avanti Motors. It fits '63-'85 Avantis . Take a look at the photos below. The mounting holes are exactly the same as the original Studebaker mounting holes. It just mounts in a different position than the original Studebaker version. Shows some shelf wear, but I assure you it is new.

Well I can't get the photos to open. I used IMGUR to post them. What do I need to do to fix the photos?
Thanks

I recently acquired this heater control valve.( First photo ) I thought I would be receiving a valve for a '63 Avanti, but as you can see in the photos it is not the same valve. I've included a photo of a '63 Avanti heater control valve for comparison( Last photo ). The mounting holes are the same size on both valves and the same distance center to center. But I do not know what is the correct application. It appears to be NOS. Any help identifying it would be appreciated.
Thanks

Lew, does this edition also have an article on the Mercedes SLC that was mentioned in the original post?
-
I'd be interested in reading the articles..............I own a '63 Avanti and years ago owned a SLC. My brother can translate the articles for me, so I hope you can attach the articles here on the Forum...........Including the SLC article.

Here are the photos of the Halibrand wheels on my '63, with the screw on TriBar. Hope this helps you get to a solution.

Yes, the TriBar on my Halibrand wheels is threaded and screws on and has an "O" ring as well. I was not aware that the Real Rodder Wheels "Spinners" just push on and use an "O" ring to retain the Spinner. No wonder they come off.
Knowing what I know now, I'd say "Set Screw" as well. IF you would like a photos of my Halibrand Wheel and Screw on Tribar, just let me know.

I have original Halibrand 5 Spoke wheels ( Not the OEM Option Wheel, and not the reproduction wheel ) , with screw on TriBars, on my car for approx 20 years, and never have had a problem with the TriBar becoming loose, much less , falling off. My experience has been that they are on very tight, and require a lot of effort to remove. I usually replace the "O" ring, if I remove the wheel.
I'd suggest that you experiment with different thickness "O" rings.

Take a close look at the switch in the E-Bay Listing . The shaft is a "D" shaft and the original switch, and the knob that operates the switch, is a "Split Shaft", like some radio knobs. Not saying you can't use it, but if you are wanting to use the original knob, it will require some modification to the knob and / or the switch.
