  1. Firewall forward the A/C is Monte Carlo. Pressure switch is in the line on the left side of engine above frame behind battery. Good luck, Jim Wood
  2. Was looking for origin of the 1976 chrome wiper toggle switch with the washer button in the center. Saw one that looked like it on a 1970 AMC Rebel. Looks like it was used on the 1970-73 AMC Rebel, Ambassador and Matador. Jim Wood
  3. So this axle has spring pads for the rear leaf springs like a S10? S10's don't have the coil springs or 4 link system link the Caprice and Monte Carlo. Caprice also used a rear axle tone ring for the speed sensor. What is the axle code? Good luck, Jim Wood
  4. Motor/Alldata Repair is showing 1991 Chevrolet Caprice as having coil spring rear suspension. Good luck, Jim Wood
  5. Q1 - Return, line come off of fuel pump. Q2 - No cabin air filter. Design is before cabin air filters. Good luck, Jim Wood

  8. My guess would be that the cables are custom made for Avanti. Get a universal choke cable from any auto parts store and make your own. Good luck, Jim Wood

Just a heads up, you will probably not be able to dim them. Either full on or full off. Try one first in an easy to get to location. Good luck, Jim Wood
  10. My rear disc brake conversion. Good luck all, Jim Wood
  11. Mine is a 7.5" Posi-Trac. Forgot the original gear ratio, but there are lots of options. The one thing you have to look out for is that at about 3.42 gear ratio and higher it takes a different carrier to fit in the housing. Good luck all, Jim Wood
  12. Shop is quiet so we started the rear brake conversion. Most everything is bolted on. We had to make new brake lines to the brake hoses and weld the brake hose holding tabs to the axle tubes. We're ready to button it up, add the gear oil, bleed the brakes and go for a test drive. Good luck all, Jim Wood
  13. Hopped in the 87 Avanti a couple days ago and the drivers rear wheel is locking up when the brakes are applied. So I went back into the shop, got on the Summit Racing web site and ordered a rear disc brake conversion kit. Arrived today. Should have them installed by the end of next week if all goes good. Good luck all, Jim Wood
