  1. I replaced the hose with a plastic spiral hose that was sourced from an industrial hose supplier. Another source of unwanted hot outside air is to "flap doors" on the outside air supply plenum on the RT & LT toe board area. The soft rubber seal deteriorates and allows outside air to pass through. I fashioned new flaps from rubber sheet (the kind that plumbers use under shower pans). They were stapled to the pressboard door as was the original.
  2. Many members that bought these spoilers have posted pictures to this thread, unfortunately they don't seem to open any more, if you go to the link to my home page at https://avantispoilers.bigcartel,com/ and click on pictures, you will see a light blue Avanti and also pictures of the part. You could also PM member Wildfelr , and I'm sure he would send you some pictures of his car. I am currently restoring RQA0348 which is in primer. If you want, I can hold up an unfinished spoiler to it (they come in black gel coat) and send you a couple pictures, Thank you for your interest in my product.
  3. Recently, there has been requests for spoiler availability. Apparently, there is continued interest in them. I am posting this to see how many may still be looking to purchase one. Last month, I shipped one to a member in Illinois and the FedEx shipping was through the roof! Since I will be attending the Avanti/SDC meet in Washington, PA, it occurred to me that if anyone who still wants a spoiler could order now and, if you are attending the show, I could bring them and save you the shipping cost. If this appeals to you, I will need your order soon to ensure they are made by September. Please direct message me here or use the link below to my product home page. https://avantispoliers.bigcartel.com/
  4. Have a set of wire wheel covers 15" these were in the trunk of an Avanti I recently purchased. They are in pretty decent shape, 2 have Avanti center logo 2 are missing logo, these are pretty heavy to ship, but I can deliver to the Avanti/ SDC meet in Pa. in September. Asking $250. Please PM any questions.
  5. Hello, I'm the spoiler guy (front air dam). I've been making the front spoilers. In March of this year, I purchased RQA0348 and have begun a total restoration, and during the process I am trying to come up with some other interesting Avanti parts. What I have in prototype is a replacement rear license bracket made of 16 ga 304 stainless steel. It is laser cut and formed to the OEM shape. The advantage of course is that it will not rust, can be left bare or painted to look original. Please take a look and if there is interest, I will make a few.
  6. Here's my spin on RF interference. I always look for ground faults, especially on a fiberglass car, meaning if a component has a shaky (corroded) ground circuit it will back feed from the next ground point. In this case I would make sure the antenna is properly grounded, there is a flat metal strap that goes from the antenna base to a frame bolt through the trunk floor. Make sure it is tight and no corrosion. The ground from the taillamp circuit may be carried back to the radio through the negative side of the coaxial cable. Another thing to check is try to isolate the antenna coaxial cable away from the wire bundle that services the taillamps to see if the RF lessens.
  7. Doing some spring cleaning, came across this music CD titled "The Ramblin Ambassadors Avanti". Anybody know anything about this?
