Metering rod springs in R1 Studebaker Avanti carbs are stronger (have more tension) than the metering rod springs used in R2 Avanti carbs......True?

Thinking they would need to be stronger with the increased air pressure of the supercharger.

Well, we're speaking of the R1, (unsupercharged) carb springs here.

I would think that they are either the same or have less strength in the R1 than the R2, so I will go with False.
