mfg Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 In a 1971 interview, Arnold Altman estimated that about .......?........ Studebaker Avanti shop manuals were originally printed. 1) 5,000......2) 10,000.......3) 15,000......or.......4) 20,000
murph the surf Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 I'll guess 4) 20,000,as that was the hoped-for yearly production.

Not saying that I am correct, but in 1963 shop manuals were mostly for dealers. VERY FEW new car purchasers bought a shop manual for their new car. I am a car guy and I didn't buy a shop manual at least until the car was out of warranty.
