Why do you refer to them as "prototypes"? I think of them as production (albeit at a slow rate). The production numbers for 1965, 1966 and 1967 were all about the same.

You're wrong there Gary.....Altman built at least two prototype '65 Avanti ll's....See AVANTI MAGAZINE issue # 140 for more info on these cars. PS...Gary, just so you'll know, manufacturers of automobiles (and other products for that matter) have always produced a few prototype examples of a new model for testing & evaluation purposes!......Ed Edited February 21, 2018 by mfg
