I can't get together with $8500 for a "project" 1974 Avanti.

I do not think that it would look too bad if the bumper were painted body color.

I think those might come off without any trouble. Sal Depeola has a '63 he is breaking for parts in Sacremento that has really good trim, especially bumpers. The parts are on Ebay as we speak.
