The early factory R3's were created from R2's. The 299 CID R3's, (the "A" series) had R2 serial numbers. The Factory R3 in 63R-1025 has engine number RS1021

Absolutely true!....I should have specified the later "B" series of R3's!......Question is still open!

Also include B-153, B-299 and B-300.
