Need replacement battery for RQ 3857

Hi all

I am usually on the 66-83 section. Saw a R1 which has been sitting in a garage for 15 years and it followed me home!

Where do we source the HDD-3EE... I see no recent threads on buying replacement battery

It's an industrial battery...look for a supplier of industrial and farm equipment. It shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Bought mine at a local tire store. think they said it was used in a forklift.

Batteries Plus carries them. Last one I had lasted five years. A little more than a hundred bucks.

I converted mine to a little Honda style battery, half as long as the "tractor" battery and half the weight.

Has more reserve and CCA too. An old picture, but you get the idea.

I am sorry but I cannot image doing something like that to an Avanti.

The group 51 R works really well, the only down side is making the bracket to hold the battery. When I did mine I also made it to hold the overflow bottle for the radiator. The smaller battery is about 7 lbs lighter as well.

Its not actually a Honda battery .. its a battery made to fit into a Honda .. which happens to be the same width needed. There is a Ford application one that is also skinny, but its wider at the bottom and wont fit.
