tanda62 Posted September 15, 2023 Report Posted September 15, 2023 Finally finished installing the first layer of Dynamat. I plan on putting in some Dynaliner in on top of the Dynamat in the headliner area and the driver and passenger footwells and the firewall. The Dynamat is easy to cut but since I am not a professional getting the correct shape for an area was a challenge and a lot of patch work has been done. I hope this stuff helps to cut down on noise and heat as advertised. Tom
Stacey Posted September 16, 2023 Report Posted September 16, 2023 Will be interesting to hear if there is a noticeable difference in heat and noise. Looks like you did a good job installing that first layer.
Kodjo Posted September 18, 2023 Report Posted September 18, 2023 I'm afraid it will not do any good. Dynamat can not reduce heat as it is not an insulator. Noise will not be reduced because Dynamat only kills noise in thin metal structures, not in polyesther structures. But it sure looks good!
tanda62 Posted September 19, 2023 Author Report Posted September 19, 2023 Part 2 of the insulation. This time dynaliner on the floors and roof. Dynaliner is specifically for heat.
