Gunslinger Posted August 22, 2015 Report Share Posted August 22, 2015 I don't know about a "hot start" issue but there were starting issues that were addressed with improved ignition points and a coil by-pass wire and later by changing the starter from a 3-pole to a 4-pole unit. Yep,,..This is the complete answer...Well done!...And since the factory was looking for better COLD WEATHER starting ability for 'early' Stude Avantis, the answer to this question is....FALSE!
