R 1 Horsepower ?

How do I tell if my 63 Avanti is 240 hp. or 289 hp. ? It is a R-1 automatic 4 barrel. But I see that the non Supercharger engine can be 240 or 289 ? Is that correct ? How much hp does the Supercharger add ? Thanks,Steve

The R1 non-supercharged engine was rated at 240 h.p. with standard 10.25:1 heads. The R2 supercharged engine was rated at 289 h.p.
