mfg Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 Unlike first generation Corvettes, Studebaker Avanti bodies utilized a one-piece floor pan.....True?
Gunslinger Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 Yes...the floor pan of the Avanti is the largest single molded piece in the car's body.
mfg Posted April 20, 2015 Author Report Posted April 20, 2015 Although the Studebaker Avanti had a one piece fiberglass floor pan, so didn't first generation Corvettes! So the answer to this question,....as phrased,.....is FALSE! (Gotcha!!)
garyc Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 The Avanti floor pan was all fiberglass and one piece. What was the composition of the early and for that matter present Corvette floor pans? They were not all fiberglass as I recall. Does/did the Corvette incorporate a metal roll bar?

Not sure about the new ones, but 1st gen Corvettes ('53-'62) had a floor pan much like the Studebaker Avanti's....one piece fiberglass.
Silverplate Posted May 4, 2015 Report Posted May 4, 2015 On a side note MFG still produces numerious parts for the newest Corvettes and has for many years including today's floor pieces.
