mfg Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Name three ways 'at a glance' a 1964 R2 Avanti engine can be distinguished from a 1963 R2 Avanti engine (without checking block serial numbers)
8E45E Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 PCV valve and painted valley plate to name two. Craig
Gunslinger Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) Different air cleaner designs, though very similar in appearance. Now...if you're discussing engine bays as opposed to the engine itself, there's also the group 24 battery in place of the previous 3EE, and the hood support moved from the left side to right side.
