'89 Avanti Hood

In an emergency, If the factory hood release fails on an '89 Avanti...how would one open the hood?

Any thoughts on this old one?

Take out the plugs in the inner fender and reach in to the latches with a long screwdriver.

Apparently not on the '89's Gary....I've spoken with two '89 Avanti Coupe owners that tell me Studebaker's emergency way to get the hood open was eliminated by 1989.

Anyone else have an idea here?

There is a emergency release cable on the drivers side, inside the wheel well.
