Pat K
Time for new shocks. Anyone had any exceptionally good or bad luck with any name brands? What do you recommend? PK RQB 4143
Gunslinger
There's a lot of good brands...private label as well which are made by the big guys. It comes down to whether you want shocks optimized for performance, smooth boulevard ride or in the middle. Some shocks are adjustable. Figure out what you're looking for then narrow the choices down based on that.
Pat K
Little too old for racing. Looking for the "smooth boulevard ride" I guess. PK RQB 4143
Gunslinger
If you want the smooth ride, look into Monroe or Delco. You should be able to find what you want. I have Edelbrock IAS shocks on my car...they do definitely NOT give a boulevard ride!
brad
Bilsteins are good. Use shocks from a 70-81 Camaro. You will have to reuse the lower cross bar on the front shocks, or use heavy washers to hold the new shocks' shorter cross bar.
