At the time Studebaker announced it was ceasing auto production in South Bend, approximately ......?...... people were employed at the factory.

1) 4,500.....2) 5,000......3) 7,000....or....4) 8,500

It was what I thought to be a low number for a factory, so I will say 1) 4500.  It may be 5000, but I am not going to take the time to look it up (like most of my answers that come off the top of head).
