  1. I'M Interested! Pretty sure others are as well. Please continue when you have the time Guy. 🧐
  2. Years ago I heard/read about a fella that was going to 'convert' his Avanti to an EV - not sure what happened in the end BUT check this out (if you bear with me): At the AOAI Home page - click on "News & Events" then click "2020 Virtual Car Show" (Very Cool) Now (the hard part) go down to the 27TH Entry - "Bill & Sonja ...... 1983 Avanti" Sure looks like Sonja is CHARGING her Avanti at a Tesla Station! Is Sonja putting us on or what? I LIKE IT!😳

    Avanti Radio!

Damn - radios weren't Cheap (even if you didn't want one)! Wonder how many buyers 'deleted'. I bet they didn't even have FM (and tape wasn't even invented yet). We have come a long way since!😳

    Avanti Radio!

'Sounds' like something they would do! 🤔
  5. Correct me if I'm Wrong - didn't Blake also introduce the composite bumpers as well as the Square headlight sealed beam (finally)?
  6. Blake started in 1984. Kelly 1987 (don't think there was a 1986). Cafaro 1989 to 1991. I will be Corrected if I'm wrong!
  7. It's been 2 days since this was posted and no one SMARTER than me has commented. So here is My comment. Looks like a mock-up of a planned update of a Studebaker Avanti (1965?). Notice no front vent windows.
  8. Rear seat back has 'divided' design on top middle.
  9. 87-88 no ABS. Don't know about the other years.
  10. It should be 18 gal.
  11. Did you ever find the Data Link port? AND what was the Code? 😳
  12. FYI - Amazon still has the Code Reader available $35. Innova 3123 GM. Easier than the paperclip method.
  13. Yeah, that's the computer. If you open it up you can replace the chip/tuning card with a more hi-performance one (results were not what I was hoping for) got mine from Summit Racing - not sure if they are still available. My '88 has the same computer mounted under the right side of the dashboard. Not sure when this law/requirement started but the OBD should be only on the driver side somewhere under the dash. Now I know the '88 and '84 have different dashboards but they are both GM engines. My Data port was hidden pretty good under the dash to the right (or was it left) of the steering wheel. To me it looked kinda like a 4 plug trailer connector. Look again - it's there somewhere. I would think Google would have the codes available!
  14. Agreed! 78 in one month (not the car)!
  15. I LOVE it - when a Plan Works!😁
  16. Huh?😵
  17. Those b/u lights look good plus they'll give Waay more light. btw - my '88 came with the the 'red' lenses on the trunk from the factory. My understanding is they were changed to red from clear in order to meet new govt light standards.
