  1. did you lower the front end any?
  2. i concur with Desert Driver. The knurled screw is easily accessed once you pull the gauge out. I have never removed the seat but I am sure it would be easier on my back if I did
  3. many of these colors cannot be mixed using the original formulas due to EPA restrictions. I usually do what MFG suggested and get a color scan done at a paint store as a result
  4. you can ground it almost anywhere. like the mounting brackets for the gauges
  5. the most difficult part is putting it back in so that it is not cocked one way or the other. But then that is not hard. Just a little trial and error
  6. It will probably just sit in the bottom of the gauge. I would love to find some that are brighter. I have tried several different brands of red LEDs and none are bright enough for me. Maybe i need cataract surgery🤣
  7. and you will probably have to remove that gauge to get the bulb out of it. That is what i have done in the past.
  8. More of a pain to do it that way really. Get one big gauge out like the tach or speedo and you should be able to get it done.
  9. You might put this in the for sale/wanted section if you haven't done so already. Good luck
  10. What ronmanfredi said. I do remove one of the larger gauges to gain access sometimes but it can be done either way. Can be done with a the seats in if your back is good.
  11. good luck with that!
  12. They have a crack repair but i have no faith in it. I have played with it and not pleased
  13. Agreed and that is why i take the cracks down to the leather. Usually the cracks are in the old dye many times, not the leather in my experience
  14. Sounds like you are doing it correctly. Looks good. I use a company called Leatherique and have achieved similar results. Cleaning and softening before dyeing is the key in my opinion
  15. Nostalgic Motors used to install a second set on the sides for that purpose. THey were the same as the front ones just mounted on the sides
  16. THanks guys. I have owned a couple of C3s and never thought about that being a C3 handle. On a side note, Alfa Romeo used the C4 center brake light on their spiders in the early ninetys. You never know where you will find Corvette parts!🤣
  17. 1) What year did they move he parking brake to the center of the console? 2) What year did they change from a cable trunk release to the electric one in the glove box? Thanks
  18. You did not present it unclearly but if the same gauge was being used with sensors of a different resistances, then they would have erroneous readings
  19. Lots of PB blaster and wait a couple of days. That is how I got mine off.
  20. My heater fan squalls when it first starts if it is cold out side. I tried the old method of drilling a hole in one end and lubricating it through the hole but no change. I see 4 nuts that hold the fan motor housing to the firewall. How much more is needed to get enough access to change the motor? Does the AC need to be disconnected? Do the heater hoses need to be disconnected? THanks
