Avanti Jim Posted May 27, 2019 Report Posted May 27, 2019 Anyone know the correct part number for the stock Stewart Warner oil pressure sending unit in a 1980 Avanti II? The Stewart Warner website lists the 279B-F sending unit for their heavy duty series gauges like those originally installed on my1980 Avanti II. But the gauge on their website is 0-100psi. Mine is 0-80psi. Anything I should know before I give them a call?
dynolou2 Posted May 27, 2019 Report Posted May 27, 2019 Make sure that you tell them your gauge only reads to 80 psi, the one for the 100 psi gauge will give you a wrong reading. BTDT Lou Cote
Gunslinger Posted May 27, 2019 Report Posted May 27, 2019 Did Avanti Motors use an electric oil pressure gauge by that time or were they still using a mechanical gauge design like Studebaker did?
