mfg
Studebaker used two unique cylinder head bolts on Avantis with supercharged engines.....These same bolts were also used on the '55 President Speedster.....What were these unique bolts used for on each of these two Studebaker models? brad
They had studs on the ends. The R2 used them for the supercharger bracket angle reinforcement, and the Speedster used them for the power steering bracket. Since power steering was standard on Speedsters. It would also be present on any 53-58 Studebaker that uses the integral Saginaw power steering.
