What is Studebaker's 'Free Running Test' for their Avanti models used to determine?

Posted

It's a test to determine the condition of the Powershift transmission, running the rpm up in park or neutral (can't remember which one). Also can't remember exactly what it is supposed to test although I think it is the torque converter.

Getting old, mind ain't what it used to be. :o
