R3 GT!

How many of the Avanti R3-4 powered Studebakers that Studebaker's subsidiary Paxton products Division assembled were 1964 Gran Turismo Hawks?    (Studebaker owned.....not privately owned cars!)

1) None.......2) One.......3) Two.....or.....4) Three

I'll say one, built and ran at Bonneville in late '63. I think this was the car that was sold to Dick Passwater to be used in roundg-round racing.

The Passwater car was one of them, however, there were more!

Any other thoughts on this one?

I've never heard of an R3-powered Hawk being built, so I will say two R4's.

Two '64 Gran Turismo Hawks is CORRECT!.....However, one was R3 equipped while the other one was R4 equipped!

Anybody know what became of the R3-powered Hawk?  Was it taken to Bonneville or sold privately?

I believe the R3 GT Hawk is/was the Dick Passwater car....One of these GT's was later 'totaled'...that may have been the R4 version?
